On September 19th, I will give a research talk at the University of Cologne as part of the IS research seminar organized by Dr. Ali Sunyaev, Assistant Professor of Information Systems and Information Systems Quality. The talk is entitled "How to manage the IT outsourcing provider - A reference framework for IT outsourcing governance". More information can be found at the website of Prof. Sunyaev.
Our article "IT-Governance als ganzheitlicher Rahmen für die Steuerung der Unternehmens-IT" (English: IT governance as holistic frame for steering corporate IT) co-authored by Arne Buchwald, Michael Gschwendtner and me has been published in Wirtschaftsinformatik & Management, a magazine for IT professionals published by Springer. The article is available online at the Springer website.
The papers "Think Big with Big Data: Identifying Suitable Big Data Strategies in Corporate Environments" co-authored by Katharina Ebner, Thilo Bühnen and me as well as "Shedding Light on the Impact Dimension of Information Systems Success: A Synthesis of the Literature" co-authored by Andrea Herbst, Jan vom Brocke and me have been accepted for presentation at the 47th Hawaii International Conference on Systems Sciences (HICSS-47). HICSS-47 will be held in Hilton Waikoloa, Big Island, Hawaii from January 6-9, 2014.
Have you ever asked yourself whether your organization’s ECM system is successful? Together with colleagues from University of Liechtenstein we have developed a tool that allows organizations to assess their ECM system success. In contrast to traditional measures, our tool particularly measures to what extent the ECM system supports efficiency, compliance and collaboration in organizations. Our paper "The Why, What, and How of Theories in IS Research" co-authored by Benjamin Mueller and me has been conditionally accepted as a completed research paper for presentation at the 34th International Conference on Information Systems (ICIS 2013). ICIS 2013 will be held in Milano, Italy from December 13-18, 2013.
